Dinner is done, this morning I strarted a batch of crock pot beans, they were done when I got home from work, I fried up some spicy Polish sausage and prepared minute rice. mix and top with plenty of Franks hot sauce.
The beans are a mixed variety my mom gets out of her garden, nothing rare, just a mix similar to what you find at the store. The were crock pot cooked with a ham-hock, modest amount of brown sugar, 1/2 cup ground garden peppers, adequate salt.
It's a only loosely related to the way Zatarains red beans and rice tastes. My prep is much sweeter/more peppery with the brown sugar, and literally a cup of pepper between the franks and garden peppers.
edit added: Time to go hit the elliptical to burn 600 calories, with my weight loss goal in sight(25 pounds to go) it'd be awesome to hit it by SRS day and be in shape to boot.
