Going to have to go find and buy pigeon peas now. Never heard of them.

I'm really exhilarated by my cooking lately. When I'm seriously depressed or twitchy, I don't deal with food and eating in a good way. I have to be happy to be creative and enjoy it, and that seems to be coming back. My daughter asks for foods she reads about in her manga, and we make those. We go go to restaurants and later mimic what we eat. We re-invent stuff we've vaguely understood from others' storytelling. It's so good. It's all my daughter and I have in common, other than the cat. And the cat hates her.

When she was younger we made zucchini bread a lot, and we recently tried that and subbed pumpkin for the zucchini. Not super exciting, but it's not bad.

Lite n Easy(c)(I think) Spaghetti Bolognese. Not sure what is in it exactly but at a guess, spaghetti, beef mince, bolognese sauce and melted cheese(not sure what type maybe cheddar). Quick and easy 8min in the microwave and ready to eat.

Sorry your to late, already had my simple chips and egg.
Hi, you're with 71 year old pre-op transgender Philippa (Pippa) born back in June 1946, I live on the south coast of UK in Wimborne Minster, Dorset.

I've been with The Laurels, NHS Transgender Clinic in Exeter UK,  for 2.5 years. I started my pre-op transgender journey after having breast implant surgery done by surgeon, Mr Michael Graham at The Winterbourne Hospital, in Dorchester UK, in July 2011.

It was after breast implant surgery, my female true real-self emerged, and I started to live full time as the woman. I was adamant GRS was not an opinion, after looking deep into my inner self, thoughts have changed, also testosterone blocking Pro-strap injection have a very positive impact, together with my oestrogen, sex drive has become better and more feminine. I am now so excited, and want to get on with my GRS.

On the list with another of Britain's top surgeons, Mr Phil Thomas in Brighton for my Gender Reassignment Surgery.

I am engaged to Michael, a wonderful supportive guy.

Dinner is done, this morning I strarted a batch of crock pot beans, they were done when I got home from work, I fried up some spicy Polish sausage and prepared minute rice. mix and top with plenty of Franks hot sauce.
The beans are a mixed variety my mom gets out of her garden, nothing rare, just a mix similar to what you find at the store. The were crock pot cooked with a ham-hock, modest amount of brown sugar, 1/2 cup ground garden peppers, adequate salt.
It's a only loosely related to the way Zatarains red beans and rice tastes. My prep is much sweeter/more peppery with the brown sugar, and literally a cup of pepper between the franks and garden peppers.

edit added: Time to go hit the elliptical to burn 600 calories, with my weight loss goal in sight(25 pounds to go) it'd be awesome to hit it by SRS day and be in shape to boot.

I wouldn't eat tofu on a bet, but that's a fine job of frying! I made chicken soup.

Felix, I didn't know what pigeon peas were either. I've recently become a vegetarian and was looking for something new. I have a small Tropical Food grocery store across the street from me and found a can of them there. Apparently they are used in Indian food, so I've probably had them already and didn't know it!

Devlyn, there's a restaurant called Veggie Heaven that makes dishes with tofu and you would swear it was beef or chicken! I don't know how they do it. :)

If you like South Asian food, you should try some of Madhur Jaffrey's vegetarian cookbooks.

I have an aversion to tofu, can't discuss it here, though!  LOL!

I am generally not a big fan of tofu, but I do think it makes great flaming catapult fodder  >:-)

My name is Kim and I am addicted to curry.I need an Indian twice a week and started eating curry in 1978.I made a Dopiaza with red and yellow peppers, green beans, okra and Quorn veggie chicken and pilau rice.I can't eat the stupidly hot ones I used to(I no longer have to prove how tough I am) and medium strength is about as hot as I go now

Kim, I envy your ready access to curry. I have no Indian restaurant within three hours. :'(

I'm having hamburgers, barbecued in -30 Celsius.
