The next bit is to make a general point and one which is a hard pill to swallow for those of us (myself included) who love makeup. We need to find a look that works, if we want to blend and not look faaabulous. People are likely to be wary of telling us that something isn't the best for us.
Note that I'm not saying that we need to look plain and not wear makeup but I would stay away from youtube makeup tutorials unless it's an everyday look video.
Yes, cis women can look too glam to look cis. Watch this video. I know the subjects are extreme examples but take a look at the presenter. She appears at the start without (much?) make up (1m03s) and she looks gorgeous, but for the rest of the video, in what might be "average makeup" she looks trans and if I saw her in the street like that I would certainly be questioning.
