Well, here goes. A little bit of make up (eyeliner, lipstick), padded bra (no much boobs yet  :( ), 6ish months HRT.
Bleh at my hairline/forehead :(

Thy = feminine.

I haven't posted a picture of myself here for a while now, but I was just walking by the mirror a moment ago, and I noticed my reflection, and... am I crazy, or am I actually starting to look somewhat passable?

I know there is some room for improvement in the chest department, and I wasn't even wearing makeup or anything like that (which I usually don't), and my face still skews a little masculine, but still... what do you think?
Definitely starting to pass.
I'm not seeing your face. That top draws my eye to your waist and hip area first, so yes very much getting there

Which actually makes me wonder, because I really got too late of a start to be able to expect much hip bone growth, and I haven't had that much fat redistribution yet. Maybe my jeans are just helping to highlight my figure a bit?

You look great. Your face looks feminine, but it's hard to tell because it's a bit obscured :).

Your hips might just be on the wider side. I don't think any hip bone growth can be expected from HRT.
Jeans might be helping. I know they help highlight my figure a bit when I wear them. Even subtle fat redistribution can help too.

Also, you have such wonderfully thick hair. I'm jealous ;)

My hips have always been wide for a male, but still, I never really looked like I had much of a feminine figure before either...

It's an optical illusion, which can only be achieved through careful and deliberate use of hair spray. ;) Lol, but really, my hair was very thick when I was a teenager, but starting at 18 I started experiencing diffuse thinning and recession. Years of minoxidil and anti-androgens have brought it back somewhat, but it's still noticeably thin when I don't do anything with it. Well not thin as in, practically a step away from being bald or anything, but well below average thickness compared to what many women have. Still, I am very glad to have what I have, because I don't think I would have been able to emotionally cope with being bald. I was already near my breaking point when decided to start taking anti-androgens...

Anyway, thanks for the compliment regardless. ;) I do a lot of things with my appearance to make it look like I'm not trying very hard, but it does take some effort for me to look as good as I did in that picture. Between the ridiculously close shaving, the liberal use of concealer, the meticulous body hair removal, and the careful use of hairspray, I spend a ton of time just to basically look like an average looking girl who can't even be bothered to wear makeup...

You definitely have a feminine shape going on. I don't know your status, but you might try a different more feminine outfit and have your hair styled to frame your face better. Other than that your on your way girl!

I was going to comment on the hair as well.  A more feminine hairstyle would make a huge difference.  I heard someone say that 60% of passing is hair...and I agree.

It does make a big difference. But it's not everything. I think, and this is only my opinion, that it is the package as a whole that matters. You can have a few flaws, like me with my awful voice, but still pass very easily if the package as a whole projects femininity. Just my .02 girls, so don't take it to heart as I'm no expert. I can only base things on my own past experience.

:o maybe people just aren't replying because they think you're in the wrong place. You look totally cis :)

It's tough to tell with your hair pulled back, but I think you're in pretty good shape.  I really envy your hairline...like a lot!
And a few more months of HRT and you'll probably see some real differences.

A fem hairstyle and makeup would make a huge difference in your presentation.  And I'm not suggesting you go overboard...but at least some basic eye makeup, brow definition, and lips. There's a reason GG's don't leave the house without their hair and makeup done.

Hey Ladies,

I started in the FFS forum since that is my next big concern, but I'm trying to venture out a bit from there. I would love to hear any opinions or suggestions. I'm 28 with 5 mos on HRT-

Here is one of my favorite pictures from about a month ago-

Here is from this morning on my way to the gym with no makeup or hair.

I know I still have a lot of male features left, but I'm hoping FFS (this Dec) and HRT will fix all of that.

You're going to do fine Jen, you have youth and not overly masculine features to overcome. I've seen some pretty hopeless cases here have miraculous transitions and so needless to say you are already way ahead of that curve right from the start. Welcome to the MtF forum hon!

I honestly thought that that was your real hair in your first picture. I was thinking "why did she cut it off..."
I refuse to live in fear! Come hell or high water I will not back down! I will live my life!
But you have no life.
Ha. Even that won't stop me.

I will protect even those I hate, so long as it is right.

I've been on hormones for a little over a year, and I felt like it was going really well until about eight or nine months ago things seemed to start going in reverse. I feel like I went back to looking like I did before I even started, and it's really upsetting me.
Me eight months ago -> me now

Am I imagining things? Is something going on? Should I ask my doctor about insensitivity?

I can't tell from the photos, you look rather petite and your face is angular, have you lost weight since you started? What is your height and weight?

I'm 5'7" and right now I weigh about 115 pounds. When I took the first picture I think I weighed 125 pounds.

Badsamaritan it looks like you started out with a very feminine facial structure . I think your fat is just redistributing . You look very feminine
