Its more of a after I start and am on hrt for a while type question. Also I am using a cheap wig I cut and styled a little. I started growing my own hair out a little more than a month ago from a military style cut.

Hair...takes such a long time, doesn't it? >:(

I see nothing in your photos that makes me think you wouldn't blossom on HRT.  Nothing stands out as being irredeemably male, so you're in good shape.

In the interim, you may want to upgrade to a better wig.  I started with the cheap wigs (the $20 kind of thing) and ended up hopelessly frustrated with how difficult they were to make look good.  Once I moved up to a better wig (like $50, give or take - still artificial fibers and not human hair, but a pretty close approximation), I was amazed at how much easier it was for me to look passable.  It's a worthwhile investment.

Love the bold use of color in your current hair though.  I could never pull something like that off, and I'm in awe of those who dare to try!

hi Brenda.  Here are some older photos taken perhaps 4 months ago while I was just mucking about with the web cam.  These are before going full time. My hair is a bit longer now as well.

Love the hair!  Truly, it's like a masterclass in how to pick at style that is feminine, respectable and age-appropriate.  My own locks should be close to that length soon - same color too - so I may have to copy what you've done.  You may soon have a US-based identical twin.

Just started living full time.  How do I look?

I think that you pass, not all women wear a lot of make up and skirts or dresses most of the day,  so yeah you look good =) love your long hair <3

Playing with make up  ;D ;)

Emily, I still can't believe you're pre everything.  I can't wait to see what estrogen does for you...I'd imagine quite a lot!  :)

This is true.  But if you're borderline passing, those more traditional girly things can help tip the scale in your favor.

I'm sorry, Windy, I forgot to thank you for your kind words. And I really like your hair and earrings. That last photo is great. You actually look a bit like one of my favourite female lit teachers from undergrad!  :)

You're cute, and you have full lips, no obvious beard shadow, high cheek bones, and a full head of hair.  I'm envious.  :)

Seriously, you're in really good shape.  Have you started HRT yet?

I agree with Brenda. I think you have a huge amount of potential! You'll do just fine. I'm not sure about the wig either (though I love the colour!), and I feel split about those particular glasses, though I think the glasses look cute on you in the last photo. Those are minor things.

Looking forward to your next round of progress updates!  :)

Thanks so much! I don't go in public at all dressed,I dress when  by myself just for piece of mind. I'm growing my hair out, but I only been growing it out for a month I got to get rid of my muscle mass up top, also got to get my voice down. I plan on starting hormones this month, so I'll keep my fingers crossed, when I get my weight to 2006 levels, I was still active duty then, I weighed 170, I put on a lot of Muscle mass since then but back then I was skinny enough to start, but good news I've lost 30 pounds in about two months, from 265 to 235, I didn't look 265, I was just a lot bulkier, so wot be long and I'll be ah my right weight, I think  gonna start her before then but I'm pretty confident I can continue losing weight once on hrt. But anyway, you know how to brighten my day, thanks!

Today was my first day as a junior in high school. Again, I haven't started hormone replacement therapy, yet.

It's all about angles and filters. :P Eventually that won't be necessary. If I showed you a photo of me without any alterations you'd be like, "holy crap! make it go away!" hehe

Well, I am sure I could handle that, but lets not test it out, ok? :) But I do stand by my words - You do closely resemble one of my butch lesbian acquaintances though :).
