Hi hi, I mostly lurk 'round these parts :embarrassed:. There are so many cuties in this thread! Carla @.@!

llerret, I think that when people say you "don't look like other women," they literally just mean that you have a unique and exotic look, and not that you "don't look like a woman," if you catch the distinction. You're gorgeous, just gorgeous.

I'm very nervous but I'd love to get some opinions on these that don't come from very close friends. I shared the first one here with two of my pals as a sort of "coming out" (that went much better than I anticipated!) and they were both super sweet but, y'know, one's been mah pal for a decade and the other is a known philanderer () so he's liable to tell me anything.
I'm 28, pre everything and wearing a silly hair hat without makeup. Specific male-y weak points besides the utterly ridiculous eyebrows and that schnoz of mine? ??? Anything that actually works? Is this an OK starting point? Brutality please :'(.
honestly this is a great starting point. with some make up and some work on the eyebrows I think you could pass. I also think that you are well on you're way to becoming a beautiful girl.

I would definitely gender you as female in the first picture. I don't see your nose as being particularly indicative of masculinity.

You've certainly made an excellent start.

Something about the latter two images gives me pause though. It might be that your eyebrows were initially concealed by the hair in the first image. You can get those shaped though so it's not too big a worry.
I refuse to live in fear! Come hell or high water I will not back down! I will live my life!
But you have no life.
Ha. Even that won't stop me.

I will protect even those I hate, so long as it is right.

I got some really nice comments on the first pictures that I posted 2 days ago but the reality is that even tough I almost pass when I'm styled I still see a boy in the mirror when I wake up and I'm not wearing make up, accessories or my clip in extensions. It's so frustrating to clean up your face and be confronted by the real you which doesn't look like you would want it to :-(

So, that's me. A styled pic again just for comparison:

Honestly, all I could see you needing surgery-wise is a trachea shave, maybe a jawline reduction, and you might want to get a brow lift. Keep growing your hair. I think you would probably pass if you had longer hair in your last 3 pics even without ffs.

I'm actually getting FFS end of November. I will have a trachea shave, jaw and ching reduction and reshaping, cheek implants, liplift, brow bossing will be shaved down and the hairline will be advanced. Can't wait :-)

Echoes, I've said this to people before and it is true.  There is often differences in nose construction/size when it comes to the varying races and ethnic groups.  I'm not sure what you are, but in conjunction to your darker skin tone, your nose isn't as big of a gender marker as you think.  I'm not saying that darker skinned people have big ugly noses or anything, not at all.  I wish I was darker.  I'm actually pretty self-conscious about my skin being near glow-in-the-dark pale.  However, Caucasian's normally have smaller, thinner noses.  Of course this doesn't always apply.  Your nose isn't too bad at all in my opinion.  For example, take your nose and put it on me and that'd be a dead give away, but on you it looks perfectly fine IMO... and I think it's a nice nose.

This is the part where I ask for brutal honesty.....pick out the flaws.....

30, mtf, Pre-HRT, last 3 shots wearing wig (or I have magical hair-growing ability...you decide) PS: Sorry for sideways pics.

Mod edit: tried to fix image tags...failed, sorry.
Aus76, believe it or not since your hair isn't completely gone on top yet, and, you still have your hairline with the right combination of hrt meds it's possible, I give you a 70% chance, for you to get some or all of your hair back provided you start hrt soon. You already have soft facial proportions for hrt to work with too. Nothing guaranteed but it is very possible. I've seen some amazing transformations. While your final result is hard to pick I think you'll do very well indeed.

@The Question: Your very pretty already with great skin. Hrt will enhance  your looks and as stated above, as long as you haven't fully lost your hair there's a good possibility hrt will bring most to all of it back. As stated, you have great skin also -always a plus.

As for me I'm a scarred up old hag, lol! :icon_eek:

Thanks Ali.  I still have a ton of hair, but it definitely has thinned a good bit over the last 4 years and my hairline has crept up a little at the temples, not too much though.  I could probably get away with bangs, but I want a scalp advancement.  I'm gonna get FFS anyway, so I'll be having it done then as well.  I don't have any grays yet or anything either, it's the same color as the wig... as if I won't be getting it colored regardless.  If you look at the left side of my head, just above the ear you can see my actual hair color... or maybe you can't since it's the same color as the wig.  I don't know.  I think that I have a sold chance of saving my hair and having a full head.  My hair is tremendously wavy/curly though and I've never had it all that long and that worries me.  They aren't tight curls, but it almost feels like I'm incapable of having long hair.  I guess with time, hair straightening and a hair stylist I could have long hair.  At least I hope...

And you don't look like a scarred up, old hag to me.  Oh, and I noticed your sig.  I'm not too into Star Trek (respect the series thought), but I'm totally obsessed with Star Wars.  Can't wait for the new flick.  I think it was a great choice to return the original cast.  Wow... did that ever get off topic.

Hello everyone, I was child free today and had a few hours to be myself. I am early thirties now and very overweight, 5 foot 10 almost 5.11. I have lost 20kgs (44.9lbs) in the last 3months, so it has been slow going. I plan to drop another 17-20kgs (37-44lbs) by xmas this year then go on HRT.

Anyway -not- on HRT yet and I used eyeliner and foundation powder in these two photos with my natural hair, which was a number 2 buzz cut 16 weeks ago as I had a breakdown and was going to try to act like a guy. But I can not do it anymore so it is time to grow it out.  I also have not had laser/electro yet as the person who was going to do it had a heart attack a month ago.

In these ones I put on a wig, no eyeliner and only lip gloss and power foundation.  I am extremely overweight and shy so I have struggled to posts these. I know I am not pretty and I look like a ugly old guy in a dress, however if I drop more weight do you think things will fall into place better before I go ahead with HRT.

I found these boots in "Big W in Adelaide" when I was up there last week, they fit fine except the calves are HUGE!!! I could fit another set of legs in them :)

A straight line may be the shortest distance between two points, but it is by no means the most interesting

Thanks. That is my real hair. You wouldn't know it by looking but I had a feminine hair loss pattern on the top left side of my head 8 months ago prior to hrt. I had two thinning areas, that now are coming back in and thickening nicely.

Oh, to post a photo you'll need a photo storage service like imjur (it's free). Once you have uploaded your photos there, click the little picture icon just below the "B" on the font controls. You'll see something like this appear in or below your text: [][/] , then, on your photo site you want the Direct Link to your photo. On imjur it's the second one from the top. Copy it, then paste it in between the two ]['s above. That's all there is to it. Your photo will appear in your post!

Again thanks for the compliment. I do have facial scars from an aircraft accident I survived in 1991. My hair partially hides the. I'm pretty self concious over them. All my friends tell me I'm worried over nothing.

Oh, and I am the Trekie Techie Jedi Girl! I can't wait for the new Star Wars either! I'm counting the days............

You have a very soft pretty face, gorgeous eyes, and what looks like a thick head of your natural hair. I think your pretty now. You'll just get prettier on hrt!

Pretty eyes Mickie, maybe trim those bushy eyebrows, best to have it done professionally into a female mode then it will be easy to keep up and add a lot of pizzaz to an already great looking face!

Thank you Allyda. I mentioned this before, but I had voluntarily shaved my head up until a few days back.

Well, I cant be totally precise, but Your features do resemble mine preHRT very very much, except You have even softer features and I had more hair...

Emily, I see that (snooping) on your profile you label andro..... So are you attempting to go further or just stopping at "midpoint"?

I ask because your comment made me curious to see what you look like, and I only have your avatar to go on right now. But still very nice!

You might want to lose a little bit of weight prior to starting HRT, then I hope you won't use that wig to go out or full time after your start, because it looks like a wig for halloween, for your hair coming back I'm not really familiar with the meds neither because i'm just starting and I don't need to take those. You might want to start buying clothes and make up for when you start full time, especially make up so that you can  get good at it... Is the redness caused my laser hair removal? You can start that too prior to HRT, since it takes a long time to get rid of facial hair. I can see your face is very soft though that's a good point on your favor. Good luck!
