I love puttering about in the kitchen.  Tonight:
Spinach salad with a balsamic vinaigrette
4 oz chicken breast, crusted in herbs
4 oz carrots, sautéed
Cubed red potato sautéed with mixed bell peppers and onions
Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

2 cups chopped lettuce
One slice of onion
1/4 tomato
2 tbsp sweet onion and bacon vinagrette
4 oz boneless skinless chicken breast
3 oz green beans
3 oz carrots
1 1/2 cups brown rice

What?  So I'm an obsessive compulsive measurer...

A handful of unsalted, non-roasted cashew nuts. Maybe a couple of dried dates and 1/4rth grated organic carrot.
Maybe.

I usually skip dinner; I try to eat as little as possible.
Yet I do go for a drink of cold coconut milk on the beach after a swim, most days I'm off work.

My Asian Fairy-bluebird might eat more than I do; I always buy him "egg bananas" and oranges from street vendors.

It's grilled cheese night at Chez Devlyn.

Tonight I made:
Roast duck with raisin bread and cranberry stuffing
Bourbon sauce (with chopped up liver)
Mashed potatoes and carrots
Leaf salad....

And for dessert, we had bread pudding.
Oh, and a nice French red.

Four hours in the kitchen

Cooked King Prawns with Japanese mustard as a starter (Peel and eat)
then Smoked Salmon (Gravad Laks)
then Warm chicken salad with tomatoes, lettuce and cucumbers in a caesar salad dressing
all taken with a glass of New Zealand Avignon Wine

Eaten whilst in my outdoor swimming pool, mind you outside temperature in Victoria is 38C. Temperature in the heated pool 29C.

Same town, but an avocado chicken sandwich after the open house at the observatory.

Cooked my first rib roast last night. Been waiting for years to have enough money after Christmas to afford one. Brushed on garlic butter to better hold my spice blend, roasted veggies (potatoes, carrots, mushroom and onion), homemade dinner rolls and a salad. It's been 20 years since my wife and I had that cut (restaurant), and my daughters' first time. Cooked it to a perfect state of rareness.

Ramen noodles for the rest of the week.
