It was Monday too when I went in...on a cold winter day, in December. Everything went really well. Slept like a baby and the next day, my dream came true...

Best of luck!

Interesting, I had to be there the day before when I went for my surgery. I stayed at a nice bed and breakfast the day before that, all part of the price of surgery. A woman name d Chantal ran it with her hubby, very nice folks and more awesome food. I arrived at the B and B at noon on Sunday, went to the hospital on Monday late in the afternoon, and had surgery late Tuesday morning. There were enemas and shaving to be done at the B and B, and a touch up shave at the hospital, too. I was a nervous wreck, lol..

Hope all goes smoothly and easily for you, sweetie!!

Was the B&B you stayed at across from a park?
If it was, the rooms were nice...comfy bed! The owners made pasta one night for us...wow, what a kitchen.
Wish I knew how to put a pic here...the pic is on my iPad. Anyways, the backyard/garden was nice...had a fire going for the evening.

Yes, Nina, that is the place!!! The park is on the river, and the views were amazing!

I am still pretty blown away by how many perks there were with going with Dr. Brassard. Now, as I've said before, my only real choice for a vaginal reconstruction was between him and Dr. Supporn in Thailand, and well, I am sure Thailand is amazingly beautiful, but it is on the other side of the globe, and I really did prefer the more euro-looking vaginas that Brassard creates. But, yes, the attention to detail and aesthetics throughout the whole experience, and the very limited surgical time (about 1 hr 40 minutes) and the option for a spinal block instead of general anaesthesia were all great incentives, too. Montréal is a gorgeous city, even in the coldest of winters.

I am so very nostalgic now, lol. I am getting a little bit weepy, in fact, ha!

Ya it's the gite du Marigot that is the bed and breakfast. And Montreal is a great city I have been here a lot over the years. I'm excited. My bowels aren't but I sure as hell am.

Lmao, Zoey!!

They may not be excited, but they better be well-stimulated pre-surgery, ha ha! Not the best part of the whole shebang, lol, but yeah, better squeaky clean before your operation.

Yes, that's the place, lovely, lovely accommodations, mmm...

Have you decided whether to do the spinal block or are you going under general, hun? My experience with the spinal and propofol was amazing. I was first up and out of bed, I did 50 laps around the nurses' station on day one. I also had fantastically wonderful twilight dreams while they worked on me, I knew they were there, and I was tripping on such wondrous adventures the whole time, I just felt so safe, and warm, and happy, and joyous during the procedure. The other girls were green and seasick and very groggy for days after surgery, I felt really guilty, like survivor's guilt, lol, I really did, I was very chipper and outgoing almost immediately. But, hey, that's something to talk about with Dr. Brassard when the time comes. It may not be right for you.

I will be sending positive vibes your way tomorrow, as well as today and tonight, hun.

Much love and gentle hugs.

I had general anesthesia and my recovery was fine, walked fine a day after the surgery.
