It made me happy today at work when they let me do a job at the pie factory I work at, that is normally done exclusively by women. In the same day however,I was insulted & hurt when a woman I work with unknowingly asked me to help her lift something heavy, and then told me she knew I could lift it cause I am a "manly man". I was so hurt by that, but didn't say anything cause I don't want to come out as trans at work yet. I've been on HRT for 4 months, but some people still see me as very masculine I guess.
Hey Lois!
Don't be put down be this incident. That other employee probably didn't intend to hurt you. HRT does change some aspects of our face, but 4 months is not a lot yet and if you want to be seen as a woman, feminization must involve other aspects as well.
Are you already taking care of your beard? That makes a huge difference to how people perceive you - when you look at someone without beard of gray area, without considering other clues, you will most probably think "woman" or "male or female preteen".
Taking good routine care of your skin is also very important. I clean my face with cleansing milk 2 times a day and I apply a night cream and a day cream. This has made a big difference.
There are many other clues you may work on and which will facilitate been seeing as woman (or at least androgynous, certainly no "manly man").
Big hug and be brave! [emoji4]
