Hi all, been sometime since I posted. Missed you all. :)
So, my addiction that I'm addressing is DRESSES! OMG ... I had over 50 dresses in my closet. So, three main types that I have are sexy, formal, and casual. I love them all but it's too much money to keep buying more. So, I donated a bunch to Goodwill to break the cycle but now I miss them ... ugh... and last nite I bought a new dress from Amazon. Anyone else have this type of addiction? The dresses just make me feel sooooo good and I love how I look in them. I know it's a bit of a minor issue in the grand scheme of things that we all face, but it's a lot of money.
I love dresses!!

Dresses are an awesome addiction to have.  One can only have enough dresses where the storage space is past over flowing.

Some of the Amazon dresses are great value along with looking amazing.

Yard Sales and other second hand options can make drop the monetary consideration substantially.

Smiles, thanks ... perhaps I should check Goodwill for cheaper buys ... oh wait, I'll buy back my own dresses ...lol. It's good to know it's not just me that loves dresses. :)

Welcome back, Sinclair.

Here locally, we have a few secondhand shops, like Plato's Closet, and other thrift stores. Some are better than others with some featuring more "vintage" clothing. But still good deals to be had.

Sometimes a consignment shop will have a nice selection of clothing to pick from.

Dresses can be just the right thing to wear.

It is funny... I have had so many fashion obsessions and looks  that I have pursued over the last 12 years... I kind of get a style in mind and then chase it and buy all sorts of slight variations on the theme until I get just the right look I want... happily Poshmark and consignment shops make this a financially feasible shopping style! 😅

For the most part my day to day style is cutoffs and a tank top but, when a certain look strikes my brain it is game on!

About a year ago I got obsessed with the denim overall and denim jumper look! I posted a few of my selections right after the lost years crash in Reply 1585 here...

I haven't had any major obsessing since that one but, they tend to pop out of nowhere so who knows what tomorrow will bring Lol 😅👍 👠👙🩱👗👢👛👜🧥

Hi Ashley, you look fab in denim! I get what you say about being in a day-to-day routine with what one wears. I had been doing that for years. Then, *boom* outta no where I got this itch to explore again ... I think when I donated some of my dresses it opened up a hole, which apparently now I'm filling. :) Tells self, I have shoes, no more shoes ... hmmm someone said boots ... don't really have that many boots ...  :)

I would like to get a slinky red dress.

Darn.  I wish I had the nice figure my sweetie has so I would look great in that type of dress.  Sigh.  She has the curves.

Thank you.

Well perhaps I will buy one someday.  My closets seem like they are overflowing and I wonder how needed ANY additional purchase of clothing would be.  After a number of years of wearing gender conforming clothing you seem to accumulate much.

I try to not spend much money on "wants."  But there are times for exceptions.  So maybe someday I will get me the slinky dresses.  Maybe one with a lot of sequins too, who knows!

Hugs,

Chrissy

Well, one thing I have learned on this journey is that one needs patience. So, move at your own comfortable pace. You seem very sweet and wish you the best! :)

Yes, we are on no timetable but on our own.  It is nice to be myself while working and I do error in being maybe better dressed than needed for work.

I cannot get over how so many college basketball coaches wear such underwhelming clothing at games.  Few wear suits and ties.  A nice shirt and coordinating sweater would be good but some need to go to a fashion advisor.
