I usually take some "magical pills" and watch HR Pufnstuff with my lids dialated.

  I had this Heathkit 25" TV that I built in 1976.  It went out on 2006, 30 years to the completion date.  I promised that when it konked out and I cannot get the parts for it, I would not replace it.  The chassis went to a recycler.  The Magnavox walnut toned cabinet it was in is going to be a bookcase, it still has the vacuum tube layout guide pasted inside from the first chassis that was in it.  No more cable bills.
  I never regretted it.

Thats all I use my TV for.  PS3 and PC... I have netflix for my ps3 so I can watch the occasional movie.  Haven't had cable for years now.

Gave up TV in 2009. Mum still watches it, we have funny convos because she repeats everything she hears on the MSM word for word, usually either lies/bull->-bleeped-<- or exagerations, like for example with Libya or Russia/Georgia conflict + many more. It goes furthur than that though, maybe if TV didn't exist most people wouldn't be so stereotypical.

I don't mind RussiaToday for news - they seem to be the most unbiased, or Channel4 documentaries and BBC comedies. But you can watch 'em all online for free.

Video games are no different than any other form of entertainment. 

And I did make an indirect comment about your declarations...   I stated that information that people disagree with is called 'propaganda' yet stuff they agree with they call 'information'... IMO that website is nothing but propaganda for the left.  But to each their own.

It's no different if the person is getting enjoyment from it.

Going to the opera and watching a sitcom are not productive activities, they are entirely for entertainment and there is no real difference in them aside from personal taste. What you have is an opinion, and while it's very much a valid one, the "slack jawed hillbilly's" opinion is valid as well, provided that the purpose of the activity is enjoyment.

The purpose of entertainment is to actually be entertained.  What you find entertaining is different than what I find entertaining.   I find certain video games have very good story lines... YOU might thing that isn't as enlightening as the opera or ballet... but you couldn't pay me to do either of those activities without falling asleep. 

I read probably about 2 books a week and have around a dozen on the go at any given time... do I find this better than video games? nope, both entertain me.

Being active? sorry but because of a MVA this isn't a possibility.

Actually doing something? pretty vague please elaborate...

Being someone? and who are you to define who is 'someone'.

All and all I find your statement VERY judgmental and condescending.  Just because YOU don't think an activity is worth your time does not give you the right to look down upon it.

Get ready for the slow down and be able to survive without thinking all will be the same.. I have been trying to tell you this for yrs.. that's why i have done what i have done.. don't plan on spending and consuming like normal.. The money is being extracted from the people to force us to use less.. your home will only be worth very little but people who have land to grow food will have value... sell your city / suburban houses asap and buy farm land with a structure...

Tyhere is hardly anything I would consider worth watching at the moment anyway.  Robson Green's "Extreme Fishing",   "Coast", any science or history  doco's on SBS, and that's about it.
