Completed a paracord belt I'm taking with me on deployment. That was tiring.

I also applied my makeup for the first time. Totally forgot to buy foundation and a brow brush. I felt so good. (•‿•)

Undergoing permanent ego death. I am delighted I have worked very hard for it going through enlightenment yesterday and becoming among a very small amount of people to achieve this allowing me to become loving to all.

I am so excited for what 2017 will bring me. 2017 is going to be an incredible year for me :)

My son is here for a visit.  I'm spending the Christmas Eve ending hours with my mother in law and sister in law.  Everyone has been wonderful and accepting.  Some days I feel like my life is charmed.

I am happy.  It's a wonderful feeling after half a century of, well, not.

It's late Christmas Day, and I'm home from my brunch at the UU church. The city is quiet. I needed to get out of the apartment and stretch my legs for a little while, so I am walking through downtown. I'm getting closer to a big plaza where the merchants have their huge tree lit for , well, nobody. They are all closed except for the poor Starbucks workers.

Suddenly I hear a blast of hard rock from what sounds like a live band. I turn the corner, and Chabad of Contra Costa is hosting a huge Chanukah party in front of the Christmas tree. Food, music, a hundred happy people. It's a wonderful and somehow magical sight, incongruous and appropriate at the same time!

I love it! [emoji178]

Have a great trip, Jess! I'll be 100 miles north, working.

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

Finally home from being stranded in Trenton after a severe multi vehicle pile up made travel home after Christmas impossible.. I'd have been losing my mind if my brother and his wife weren't with us in the hotel playing board games and watching awful movies!

I'm starting to experience Male Fail!!!  The ear piercings I got last night probably help!

I wasn't even trying today and I got Ma'am'd at a department store.

Today I feel like I've never felt before.  I thought I felt good last week...wow, today is that much better.  Let's hope 2017 continues as 2016 appears to be ending.

Interesting NYE party tonight with people who don't know and my wife has asked I NOT make an announcement.  Let's see who questions my androgynous appearance.

My MIL brought some clothes for my wife yesterday, they were all too big for her.  Earlier, I tried on one of the shirts and it actually fit.  You have to understand, my wife is a lot smaller than me, I never have anything that fits right - and when I try to put something on it is really tight and it depresses me a lot.  It usually makes me look some huge body builder, and I just get discouraged.

This one shirt fit me though, it is not my style, but when I looked in the mirror I liked what I saw.

Dressing for me, has always been a bit hard.  Due to lack of privacy, mostly.  This really made my day though, now I want a full wardrobe, but I have so much weight to lose that I don't want to spend the money.  In February we are going to get a treadmill and I am going to start jogging, and Tuesday we start on a negative calorie diet.  I'm hoping to go from 220 to 160 by the end of 2017.  I would also like to lose some muscle, three years of manual labor has done a number on my body.

But yeah, seeing myself in that shirt was awesome.  I felt so right, I can't wait till I can get some more outfits that fit me.

Out on  New Years Eve, dancing with a large group, enjoying pot-luck, and having fun. As myself, of course. Black turtleneck and pencil skirt, black leggings, new boots. Silver necklace and bracelet. I'm all contrasts and shiny!

Came out to my fellow moderators on a hobby discussion forum I belong to.  Not only was the reaction 100% positive, but another long-time moderator revealed that she was also trans, many years post-transition.  I am happy to recieve support from unexpected places.

Wife said she ordered something to help her get thicker lashes, then made the comment (compliment, really) that she doesn't have thick lashes like I do. I took it with a smile. :)
